Overview

The Ohio Technical College, also abbreviated as OTC, was started in 1969. In 1974, it was named as the Ohio Diesel Mechanics School. The college finally came to be known by its current name since 1997 after a number of changes in its name. OTC has a campus area of over 500,000 square feet and offers the students with over 20 technician training programs and hands on experience facilities.

OTC offers programs leading to master certified programs in areas such as automotive training, commercial truck driving, classic car restoration, motorcycle programs and manufacturer specific training programs. The college has the following academic divisions:

  • Diesel Division
  • PowerSport Institute

OTC has an efficient student services department that looks after the needs of the students. The college also publishes a monthly newsletter. OTC also offers the students with various scholarships such as SkillsUSA, Ford Competition Scholarship, Auto Dealers Association Scholarships, and Imagine America scholarships.
