Ohlone College

Ohlone College was founded in 1965 and is the flagship campus of the Ohlone Community College District. In addition to the Fremont campus, the college has a satellite center in Newark, California, known as the Ohlone College Newark Center for Health Sciences and Technology. The college was named after the Ohlone Indians of the Costanoan tribe, the original inhabitants of the Fremont and Newark area. Ohlone College is organized into the following academic divisions:

  • Biotechnology Department
  • Broadcasting Department
  • Fine Arts, Business, and Communication Division
  • Health Sciences Division

Some of the active student organizations of Ohlone College are Alpha Gamma Sigma, American Sign Language Club, Chinese Student Association, Game Developer's Club, Health Care Coalition, Psychology Club, and Table Tennis Club.
