Overview

Oklahoma Baptist University, also referred to as OBU, is located in Shawnee, Oklahoma, United Staets. It was established in 1906 and began operations in September 1911. James M. Carroll was the university's first president. The university campus sits on an area of about 200 acres. OBU offers approximately 10 bachelor degrees in more than 80 areas of study. It attracts students from around 20 foreign countries. The Princeton Review named the university the "Best in the West" institution in 2009. OBU is organized into the following academic schools and colleges:

OBU offers a very active student life.
