Overview

Oklahoma City Community College was established in 1972 as the South Oklahoma City Junior College. It was originally initiated on March 1969 by the South Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce. The first class was held on September 25, 1972, with 1,049 students. The college adopted its present name in 1974. It is also known as OCCC or O-Triple-C and covers more than 140 acres in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. OCCC is organized into the following academic divisions:

OCCC has several student organizations and clubs includinng the Native American Student Association, Phi Theta Kappa, International Student Association, Chi Alpha, Psi Beta, Alpha Omega, Student Physical Therapist Assistant Organization, International Association of Administrative Professionals, The Leadership Council, and many more.
