Oklahoma Panhandle State University

Oklahoma Panhandle State University is a public university located in Goodwell, Oklahoma. OPSU was established in 1909 as Pan-Handle Agricultural Institute by an act of the Oklahoma Legislature. It received its present name in 1974. The college grants associate’s and bachelor’s degrees in diverse areas of study like business, history education, and nursing. The university is organized into the following academic schools:

Housing and Meals

Oklahoma Panhandle State University provides on-campus housing for 613 of its 1,055 (full-time) students (as of 2008-2009). The school requires freshmen to live on campus.

Students may purchase a meal plan which includes 20 meals weekly.

Athletics

School sports include football, basketball, baseball, and track. The school is in the Heartland Conference for major sports.
