Onondaga Community College

Onondaga Community College, or OCC, was established in 1961. It is part of the State University of New York (SUNY) System. In August 2006, the college opened its first Residence Halls. In addition to its main campus in Syracuse, OCC has a Downtown Campus in Syracuse and another campus in Liverpool, New York. The college is divided into several academic divisions. Some of these are electronic media communications, health information technology, and modern languages.

OCC has several student clubs and organizations including the Architecture and Interior Design Club, Emergency Services Organization, International Student’s Association, Muslim American Society, Students Acting for Animals, Phi Theta Kappa, Veterans' Association, Gay Straight Alliance, Photography Club, and many more.

The athletic teams of OCC are known as the Lazers. The sports teams include football, soccer, volleyball, basketball, ping-pong, tennis, swimming, and dodge-ball.
