Overview

Founded in 1948, Orange Coast College, or OCC, is a community college providing two-year associate of art and science degrees. It is located in Costa Mesa, California,about 63 kilometers south of Los Angeles. OCC is one of three of the Coast Community College District.

Orange Coast College is a popular transfer institution in the country. OCC ranks 65th, out of more than 5,000 community colleges in the United States, in awarding associates degrees. The college offers a variety of degrees and programs in diverse areas of study.

OCC has several active clubs for students. Watson Hall, the student resource center includes the counseling center, multicultural center, career center, transfer center, and an International center. Some notable alumni of the college are Paul Frank, artist and fashion designer; Audrina Partridge, reality show cast member of The Hills; and Chris Jackson, arena football player.
