Overview

Orange County Community College was founded in 1950. It is a part of the State University of New York system. The college is commonly referred to as SUNY Orange. It is located in Middletown, New York. SUNY Orange was the first community college in the U.S that offered a two-year nursing degree. The college is made up of several academic units. Some of these include the department of arts and communication, English, psychology and sociology, engineering and architecture, science and education.

Anime Club, Chi Alpha, Architectural Club, Business Club, Criminal Justice Club, Little India, Computer Club, Masters of the Elements and the Future Teachers Association are some of the student clubs and organizations offered to students at SUNY Orange.

SUNY Orange participates in a wide variety of sports like soccer, basketball, golf, tennis, volleyball, baseball and softball. Its athletic teams are nicknamed The Colts.
