Oregon College Of Oriental Medicine

Oregon College of Oriental Medicine, located in Portland, Oregon, was founded in 1983. Commonly abbreviated as OCOM, the college offers students with specialized education in the field of oriental medicine. Students can opt for programs that lead to either a master’s degree or a doctoral degree. The courses offered by the institute include acupuncture and oriental medicine. A number of research projects are undertaken by the college in field of oriental medicine and its practical applications. Some of the research projects include Acupuncture for Post Operative Cancer Care and Traditional Chinese Medicine for Temporomandibular Disorder.

OCOM has an active student life and a number of student organizations and clubs, which include the Professional Development Club and the Research Club. The monthly student newsletter of OCOM is called the oCOMPOST. Deserving students are offered financial aid by OCOM in the form of the Trustees Scholarship program.
