Oregon Institute of Technology, also known as Oregon Tech or OIT, is located in Klamath Falls, Oregon, United States. It was originally established as Oregon Vocational School in 1947. The university is under the Oregon University System. It is the only public institute of technology in the northwest of America. OIT also operates satellite campuses in Portland, Oregon, and Seattle, Washington. The college provides undergraduate and graduate degrees in many technical and health related fields. The U.S. News & World Report of 2008 placed Oregon Institute of Technology at the 10th position in the "America's Best Colleges" category.
Oregon Institute of Technology offers an active student life. The campus is home to several student clubs and organizations. These include the Associated Students of Civil Engineering (ASCE), Campus Crusade for Christ, and Associated Students of Mechanical Engineering (ASME).
