Oregon State University, or OSU, was established in 1868 as the Corvallis State Agricultural College. The origin of the university dates back to 1856 during the foundation of Corvallis Academy. It was renamed Corvallis College in 1858. Later, on March 6, 1961, OSU adopted its current name. The main campus of the university covers approximately 400 acres in Corvallis, Oregon. OSU offers more than 200 degree programs through various academic units.

Some of the active Greek Organizations are Alpha Gamma Rho, Delta Upsilon, Lambda Chi Alpha, Pi Kappa Phi, Tau Kappa Epsilon, Delta Delta Delta, Kappa Kappa Gamma, Kappa Alpha Theta, Omega Delta Phi, Delta Phi Omega, and Sigma Beta Rho.
