Overview

Otero Junior College, also known as OJC, is located in La Junta, Colorado, United States. It was established in 1941 and was initially operated by the La Junta School District Number 11. The college became an independent unit in 1949. The campus sits on 40 acres of land. OJC has an enrollment of more than 1,500 students.

Otero Junior College offers many associate degrees in arts, science, general studies, applied science, and nursing. A variety of career and technical certificate programs are also available.

Students of Otero Junior College participate in various clubs and organizations. Among them are the Science Club, Chess Club, Alpine Club, International Relations Organization, Campus Crusade for Christ, and Ecology Club.

OJC's athletic teams are members of the National Junior College Athletic Association and compete at the intercollegiate level in golf, baseball, and volleyball.
