Overview
Ottawa University Phoenix is one of the campuses of Ottawa University, which was founded in 1865 and is known as OU. The main campus of OU is located in Ottawa, Kansas, and is often referred to as Residential College. The university also has additional campuses in Overland Park, Kansas; Jeffersonville, Indiana; Chandler, Arizona; and Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The campus was established in 1977 focusing on the higher educational needs of working adults. The university offers bachelor degree programs in more than 25 disciplines.
OU-Phoenix sports teams competes in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics and in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference. Their athletic teams are nicknamed the Braves. The men’s teams participate in baseball, football, soccer, cross country, golf, track and field, and basketball. The women’s teams compete in softball, basketball, cross country, volleyball, golf, and track and field.
