Ouachita Baptist University

Ouachita Baptist University, also referred to as OBU, is located in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, United States. It was founded in the year 1886 as Ouachita College. The campus spreads over an area of more than 150 acres. Students of OBU are offered more than 60 degree programs. The academic schools of OBU are:

Housing and Meals

Ouachita Baptist University provides on-campus housing for 1,520 of its 1,377 (full-time) students (as of 2008-2009). The school requires freshmen to live on campus.

Students may purchase a meal plan which includes 21 meals weekly.

Athletics

School sports include football, basketball, baseball, and track. The school is in the Gulf South Conference for major sports.

The school offers financial aid for athletes. Of students receiving athletic financial aid, 122 male students received the aid (men were 62% of those receiving aid) and 76 women were awarded financial aid based on athletics (representing 38% of students receiving such aid) .
