Overview

Owens State Community College was established in 1965 and chartered in 1967. The college was named after Michael J. Owens, a famous glass entrepreneur of the early 1900s. The campus encompasses 280 acres in Perrysburg, Ohio. In addition, the college has another 60-acre campus in Findlay, Ohio. The academic division of Owens State Community College is organized into a number of units, including:

  • School of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness
  • School of Technology

Owens State Community College has a number of scholarships programs including the Academic Excellence Scholarship, Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Scholarship, College Foundation Scholarships, and Tech Prep Scholarship.

There are several students clubs and organizations at Owens State Community College. Some of these are the Student American Dental Hygienists Association, Hands on American Sign Language Club, Owens Anime Convention Club, and Owens Environmental Club.
