Palm Beach Community College

Palm Beach Community College, also known as PBCC, is a community college located in Palm Beach County, Florida, United States. It was the first public junior college in the state of Florida. It was established in the year 1933 as Palm Beach Junior College. The college enrolls more than 45,000 students in over 100 programs of study including associate of arts and associate of science degree programs and short-term certificates.

The main campus of PBCC was created in 1956 and is located in Lake Worth, Florida. It is spread across an area of more than 100 acres. Besides the Lake Worth campus, PBCC also serves students at other locations at Belle Glade (1978), Palm Beach Gardens (1982), and Boca Raton (1983).

Some notable alumni of PBCC are Mark Foley, former U.S. Representative; Deidre Hall, television actress; Judge Reinhold, television and movie actor; and Charles Willeford, American writer.
