Overview

Palo Verde College, formerly known as Palo Verde Junior College, was established on September 15, 1947, and is located northwest of Blythe, California. It opened its doors within Palo Verde Unified School District.

The main campus covers an area of 200 acres. As of the spring 2003 record, over 2,000 students were enrolled in the college. PVC is organized into the following academic divisions:

Palo Verde College is home to numerous clubs and organizations. The sports teams of PVC are nicknamed Pirates, and they participate in various sports such as baseball and football.
