Overview
Parkland College is a community college located in Champaign, Illinois, United States. It was founded in the year 1966. The campus is spread across an area of more than 230 acres. The college is home to the Parkland Theatre and Planetarium, two prominent points of interest. It also houses the Parkland Art Gallery, established in 1981.
Student life at Parkland College is vibrant and offers many activities for the overall development of students. The college also has an active Greek life with several fraternities and sororities on campus. Some of the popular student organizations are Alpha Phi Omega - National Service Fraternity, Black Student Association, Phi Alpha Chi - Agricultural club, Phi Beta Lambda - Business club, and Parkland Isshin-Ryu Karate Club.
The athletic department of Parkland College fields both men’s and women’s sports teams. They are nicknamed the Cobras.
