Overview
Payne Theological Seminary, PTS, is a private, not-for-profit seminary in Wilberforce, Ohio. Students at PTS can pursue master’s degree in divinity. The curriculum includes theological studies, historical studies, African American Studies, Biblical Studies, and practical ministry. PTS also offers the Doctor of Ministry program which encompasses global Christianity and ministry in the African American context.
Payne Theological Seminary has an official student’s organization, the Student Government Association or SGA. PTS offers financial assistance to deserving candidates through federal financial aid programs. Selected students can also apply for numerous scholarship awards including The John Kampen Scholarship Award, The Tabernacle Baptist Church Florence Craft Award, The Reverend Cornelia Wright Memorial Scholarship Award, and The Reverend and Mrs. Wesley E. Wharton Scholarship Award.
