Overview
Penn State York is located in York, Pennsylvania, United States. It opened in 1939. Initially, classes were held at the William Penn Senior High School. It moved to its current location in 1956. Penn State is the Commonwealth Campus of Pennsylvania State University. The campus spreads across an area of more than 50 acres in York, Pennsylvania. The campus boasts of an enrollment of over 1,600 students every year. Penn State York offers several baccalaureate degrees and associate degrees.
Penn State York is home to many student organizations such as the Black Student Union, Catwalk Nittany Modeling Club, Model UN Club, Penn State York College Democrats, Gaming and Anime Club, Lion Ambassadors, Christian Fellowship Organization, Student Government Association, Blue & White Society, and Asian Culture Club.
Penn State York participates in the Penn State University Athletic Conference. They compete in approximately six varsity sports including men’s baseball and women’s softball.
