Overview

Phoenix College, or PC, was established in 1920. Presently, the college is the flagship campus of the Maricopa County Community College. In fact, in 1960, PC was included as part of the Maricopa County Community College District. The main campus of the college covers more than 50 acres in west central Phoenix, Arizona. In addition, PC has a downtown campus in the business district of Phoenix.

PC offers more than 200 degree and certificate programs. Some of the academic divisions of the college are applied business department, health information management department, foreign language department, and department of cultural and applied social sciences. The scholarships offered by PC include PC General Scholarship, Dougherty Foundation Scholarship, Jack Kent Cooke Scholarship, Phoenix College President's Scholarship, and many more.

Some of the student organizations of PC are Amnesty International, Christian Fellowship Club, Future Teachers Club, Black Student Union, Latin Dance Club, and Phi Theta Kappa.
