Overview

Pierce College is a public, two year community college located in Lakewood, Washington. The college offers associates degrees in art and science programs. It also offers certificate programs in early childhood education, social services, dental hygiene and others.

Pierce College’s athletic department fields both men’s and women’s sports teams. Its sports teams are nicknamed the Raiders and compete in the Western Region of the Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges. The Raiders participate in a wide variety of sports, including soccer, volleyball, basketball, baseball and softball. SLAM is a nonprofit annual publication of Pierce College, showcasing the work of its students.
