Overview

Pikes Peak Community College, or PPCC, was established in 1968 as El Paso Community College. In fact, this college is the largest institution of higher education of the Pikes Peak area. In addition to the Centennial campus located Colorado Springs, Colorado, PPCC also has the Downtown Studio campus, Falcon campus, and Rampart Range campus. The education centers of the college include Fort Carson Education Center, Air Force Academy Education Center, and Peterson Air Force Base Education Center.

PPCC has more than 125 degree and certificate programs and is organized into several academic departments. Some of these are architecture and construction technology, business administration, emergency medical services, and multimedia graphic design. Scholarship programs of PPCC include the AES Engineers Scholarship, Linda Lael Miller Scholarship, PPCC Foundation/Law Enforcement Training Corps Scholarships, and many more.

There are several student clubs at PPCC including the Anthropology Club, Black Student Union, International Students Club, Recreation and Sports Club, and Students for Social Justice.
