Overview

Pine Manor College, located in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, was established in 1911 by Helen Temple Cooke. The college originally opened as the post-secondary division of the Dana Hall School, Wellesley. It was relocated to its present location in 1965. Commonly abbreviated as PMC, the college is a private liberal arts college for women. It’s campus sits on an area of 60 acres.

PMC offers academic programs leading to associate’s and bachelor’s degrees in fields like biology, communication, history, visual arts, psychology and liberal studies. The college also offers internship and continuing education programs. It is comprised of the following divisions:

  • Language Institute
  • Leadership Center
  • Learning Center

PMC offers a large number of organizations and clubs to its students, including the Anime Club, the Environmental Club, the French Club and the Commuter Club. The college publishes a literary journal known as “Conifers.” It also operates a student radio station called WPMC Radio.
