Overview

Pittsburg State University is a public university located in Pittsburg, Kansas. It was established in 1903 as the Auxiliary Manual Training Normal School. The college enrolls more than 7,000 students anually. The campus is spread across an area of over 220 acres. PSU offers a wide variety of degrees and programs in diverse areas of study. It is organized into the following academic schools and colleges:

PSU offers more than 150 student-run clubs and organizations. The campus also has an active Greek life. There are several fraternities and sororities that enliven the campus life. The student body also includes an impressive number of international students, representing more than 40 countries.

Athletics

School sports include football, basketball, baseball, and track. The school is in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association for major sports.
