Overview

Point Park University, also known as PPU, is a private university of liberal arts situated in downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United states. It was established in 1960. Originally founded as Point Park College, it was given its present name in 2004. The university records an enrollment of more than 3,500 students every year. The university grants several associate, bachelor, and master degree programs in diverse areas of study. The university comprises of the following schools:

  • School of Arts and Sciences
  • School of Business
  • School of Communication

Point Park University supports a variety of student clubs and organizations. Among them are the Ad Club and Public Relations Student Society of America, Feminist Forum, and Society of Professional Journalists. Honor societies include Alpha Chi National Honor Society, Alpha Phi Omega (Rho Sigma Chapter), Alpha Phi Sigma National Criminal Justice Honors Society, and Alpha Sigma Lambda Part-Time Student Honor Society.
