Overview

Pueblo Community College was created in 1933, as the Southern Colorado Junior College. It became Pueblo Junior College in 1937 and Southern Colorado State College in 1961. The college settled on its current name in 1982. PCC offers more than 50 associate degrees and certificate programs. PCC also has many scholarship programs such as the American Indian Services Scholarship, NFIB Young Entrepreneur Award, Tim Smith Memorial Scholarship and the Congress-Bindestag Scholarship. The college is organized into the following academic divisions:

PCC sponsors numerous student clubs and organizations, including the African American Cultural Club, Dental Assisting Student Organization, Phi Beta Lambda, Student Occupational Therapy Assistants Club, Phi Theta Kappa, Culinary Arts Club and the Psychiatric Technician Club.
