Overview

Quinebaug Valley Community College, also referred to as QVCC, is located in Danielson, Connecticut, United States. It was established in 1971. The first classes were held with 215 students on September 27, 1971. The college's first president Dr. Robert E. Miller who was succeeded by President Dianne E. Williams in May 1992. The main campus sits on more than 65 acres in Danielson. QVCC also operates a satellite campus in Willimantic. The college enrolled more than 2,900 students in credit courses in the 2007-2008 academic year.

QVCC is home to several honor societies including Phi Theta Kappa, Epsilon Pi Tau, and Alpha Beta Gamma. The college's Student Government Association also promotes the formation of various student clubs and organizations. In fact, the association acts as a liaison between administration, faculty, and students. It also funds several student activities.
