Overview

Randolph College was originally established as Randolph-Macon Woman's College on March 10, 1891. Founded by William Waugh Smith, the college became coeducational in 2007. On July 1st, 2007, the institute was renamed Randolph College. It presently occupies a 100-acre campus in Lynchburg, Virginia.

Randolph College offers more than 50 majors and minors, as well as several pre-professional programs. Students can also opt for the Master of Arts in Teaching, and Master of Education degree programs. In addition, dual degree programs are available in nursing, and engineering.

Randolph College offers enrollment to students from over 35 states and 30 foreign countries. Students are members of a variety of on-campus clubs like the Arts Council, Bridges, the Catholic Students Association, Circle K, Das Stammcafe, the College Republicans, Gammas, Melpomene, Scentio Navigato, and Sock and Buskin. Randolph College also hosts a Phi Beta Kappa chapter. In addition, students publish a newspaper called "The Sundial".
