Overview

Randolph-Macon College was established by the Virginia Methodists in 1830. It is a private co-educational college of liberal arts located in Ashland, Virginia. The campus of the college is spread across an area of over 110 acres. The college awards bachelor’s degrees in diverse areas of study.

R-MC is home to more than 100 student-run clubs and organizations, including the Mathematical Association of America, the Political Science Student Association, the Student Affiliate of the American Chemical Society, the Student Education Association and the Sociology Club, among others.

The athletics department sponsors 15 varsity sports teams. They are known as the Yellow Jackets and compete in the NCAA’s Division III.
