Overview

Reedley College, also known as Reedley or RC, is a public, community college located in Reedley, California, United States. RC is part of the California Community Colleges system within the State Center Community College District (SCCCD). It was founded in May 1926 as Reedley Junior College on the campus of Reedley High School. Reedley became a full community college on July 1, 1946. The campus is spread across an area of 420 acres.

RC offers more than 80 major degrees and certificates for students to choose from. The student body of the college is ethnic and diverse. It includes 51.79% White, 3.71% Black or African American, 1.67% Native American, 5.83% Asian, 2.14% Filipino, 33.2% other races, and 4.5% from two or more races.

Reedley College’s athletic department fields teams in more than 10 intercollegiate sports. The sports teams are nicknamed the Tigers. They are members of the Central Valley Conference in all sports except for football, which is a member of the Northern California Football Alliance (NCFA).
