Overview

Riverside Community College is a community college located in downtown Riverside, California. The college was established in 1916 on the site of what was once Poly High School. RCC is home to a very popular School of Nursing.

The sports teams of RCC are named the Tigers. Club sports teams participates in baseball, basketball, cross country, football, golf, soccer, swimming & diving, tennis, track and field, and water polo for men. For women, the college has provisions for basketball, cheerleading, cross country, soccer, swimming & diving, tennis, track and field, volleyball, and water polo.

Among the notable alumni of the college are author Susan Straight, and Republican California State Assemblyman Bill Emmerson.
