Overview

Rock Valley College, also known as RVC, is a two-year, community college located in Rockford, Illinois, United States. It was established in the year 1964. The campus is located in northeast Rockford and is spread across an area of over 270 acres. The college also operates satellite locations in several areas.

RVC offers associate degrees in over 50 disciplines for transfer to four-year colleges. It also offers career-oriented associate degrees, in more than 20 areas, and over 70 short-term certificates.

RVC is home to a number of student clubs and organizations Sncluding the Advanced Academic Study Club, Multicultural Club, Ska Club, and Psy/Soc Research Club. The college fields a variety of men’s and women’s sports teams. They are nicknamed the Golden Eagles.
