Overview
Rockford College, also known as RC, was established in 1847. It is a private American college of liberal arts and is located in Rockford, Illinois. The campus of RC is spread across an area of over 130 acres. The college was initially known as Rockford Female Seminary and changed to its present name in 1892. The college provides bachelor's degree programs in more than 25 majors and master’s degrees in business and teaching. The opportunities of studying abroad are also offered in RC.
Rockford College is home to a number of clubs and organizations. Some of the popular clubs are Nursing Student Organization, Democrats Encouraging & Motivating Students, Black Student Union, and the Pinheadz Bowling Club. The institution also hosts several honor societies. These are Phi Beta Kappa, Phi Sigma Iota, Chi Alpha Sigma, and Omicron Delta Epsilon among others.
