Overview

Rockingham Community College, also known as RCC, is a public, two-year college located in Wentworth, North Carolina, United States. It was founded in the year 1963. The college's first president was Dr. Gerald B. James. The first classes were held in October 1966. RCC's campus encompasses more than 270 acres. It offers an array of degrees and programs and is organized into the following academic divisions:

  • Humanities & Social Sciences Division
  • Math & Science Division

RCC has a number of student organizations. Some of these include the Criminal Justice Club, Student Government Association, Alpha Kappa Pi, Students in Free Enterprise, Art Club, NC Association of Nursing Students, Sigma Kappa Delta, Early Childhood Educators Club, Practical Nursing Club, International Studies Club, Science Club, and Musicians Guild.
