Overview

Rockland Community College was opened in 1959 in the Village of Suffern in Rockland County, New York. It is a 2-year college under the State University of New York system. More than 6,000 students enroll in this college every year. Rockland Community College has campuses in:

  • Haverstraw
  • Spring Valley
  • Suffern

The college offers over 40 programs in various areas of study. The departments at this college include the humanities, the social and behavioral science division, the business and information technology division, math, the natural and health science division, anthropology, an art department, communication media arts, computer studies, the foreign languages department, philosophy & religious studies, the science department, and many others.

Rockland Community College’s sports teams are called the Rockland Hawks and participate in basketball, soccer, volleyball, baseball, tennis, bowling and golf.
