Overview
Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, also known as RFUMS, and was established in 1967 as The University of Health Sciences/The Chicago Medical School. However, the university traces its history to the formation of the Chicago Hospital-College of Medicine in 1912. It moved to its current location in 1980 and adopted its present name in 1993. In fact, the university was named after Herman M Finch. RFUMS is organized into the following academic schools and colleges:

- Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine
- School of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies
