Overview

Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, also referred to as RHIT, is a small, private college previously known as Rose Polytechnic Institute. The college has a 295 acre campus located in Terre Haute, Indiana, United States. Initially, this college was recognized as Terre Haute School of Industrial Science, founded by Chauncey Rose in 1874. The name of the college was changed in 1971. There are a number of academic divisions in RHIT. Students can pursue various academic programs under different disciplines such as Air Force ROTC, Applied Biology & Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.

Students of Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology can participate in various clubs and organizations. These inclue the Greek clubs Lambda Chi Alpha, Pi Kappa Alpha, Sigma Nu, and other clubs such as the Art Club, Astronomy Clubs, and Outdoor Venture Club.
