Overview

Rose State College, also known as RSC, offered its first classes on September 21, 1970. It was originally named Oscar Rose Junior College but was renamed to its present name as of November 1, 1983. The College became a member of the Oklahoma State System of Higher Education in December 1973. It enrolls more than 8,000 students. RSC’s campus is spread across an area of 116 acres.

There are many student clubs and organizations on campus including the American Indian Association, Ethics Club, Aquatic Club, and Black Students Association. The college hosts two important events: Miss Rose State College and Miss Black Rose State College.

RSC is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA), Region 2, Division I.
