Overview

Saint Catharine College traces its roots to an academy established by the Kentucky Sisters of Saint Dominic in 1823. This became a Normal School in the 1920s, and was founded as the St. Catharine Junior College in 1931. Initially a women's college, it became a coeducational institute in 1951, and was christened Saint Catharine College. This Roman Catholic college is situated in St. Catharine, Kentucky.

Saint Catharine College grants associate's degrees in arts, science, and applied science. Bachelor's degree programs are available in liberal arts, criminal justice, management, health sciences, and education. Students can also opt for certificate courses in pastoral ministry, computer information systems, and early childhood education.

There are a number of student clubs and organizations at Saint Catharine College including the Phi Theta Kappa, Campus Ministry, the Student Senate, the International Club, Students In Free Enterprise, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Students Above Traditional Age, and St. Catharine College Chorale. Students also participate in varsity sports like basketball, golf, soccer, baseball, softball, and volleyball. The teams are nicknamed the Patriots.
