Overview

Saint Leo University, or SLU, is a private, non-profit, Roman Catholic university located in Saint Leo (near San Antonio), Florida, United States. It was established on June 4, 1889. The main campus of Saint Leo is situated in a rural setting, but not far from cities such as Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Orlando.

Saint Leo University offers more than 40 academic programs including some of the most innovative and sought after majors anywhere. The university is organized into the following academic divisions:

  • School of Education & Social Services

The student body of SLU has an impressive number of international students. Some notable alumni of the university are Desi Arnaz, actor; Michael Cicconetti, notable judge; and Shannon Schambeau, the Miss District of Columbia (2005).
