Overview

St. Louis Community College was established in 1962 as Florissant Valley Community College. It adopted its present name in 1976. The college sits on more than 100 acres of hilly wooded area in Florissant Valley.

STLCC-Florissant Valley offers several degrees and certificate programs and is divided into many departments. Some of these include African-American studies, automotive technology, business administration, communication, arts and mass communications.

The Biotechnology Club, Campus Crusade for Christ, Deaf Communications Club, Black Student Association, the Future Teachers Organization, Graphic Communications Club, International Club, National Society of Black Engineers, Mass Comm. Club, Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and the Society of Manufacturing Engineers are some of the student clubs of STLCC-Florissant Valley.
