Overview

Saint Martin's University, also known as SMU, is a private, coeducational college located in Lacey, Washington, United States. It was founded in the year 1895 by monks in the Roman Catholic Order of Saint Benedict. It is one of 18 Benedictine institutions in the United States and Canada. Initially, It was known as Saint Martin's college, and it received its present name in the year 2005. The campus is situated on an area of 300 acres. SMU hosts students from countries all over the world.

Saint Martin's University hosts several active clubs and organizations. A few of these are the Non-Traditional Students Club, American Society of Mechanical, Alternative Sports Club, Japanese Neko Club, and Black Student Union, among others.
