Saint Mary's University of Minnesota is a private, Roman Catholic university located in Winona, Minnesota. It was founded as Saint Mary's College in 1912 by Bishop Patrick R. Heffron. In 1995, the college earned university status and it was given its current name. The university offers admission to more than 5,000 students average every year.
