Samra University of Oriental Medicine, an institute of higher education located in Los Angeles, California, derives its name from the acronym of Sino-American Medical Rehabilitation Association, formally chartered in 1969. By 1975, SAMRA had founded a Research Institute of Therapeutics and Acupuncture (RITA), with a Healing Arts Center in Los Angeles. Samra University offers master’s and doctoral degrees in medical related areas of study.
