Overview
San Diego Mesa College, or Mesa, is a public, two-year, community college in the Kearny Mesa neighborhood of San Diego, California, United States. It was founded in the year 1964. It is the largest community college in San Diego. Mesa College is coeducational and has a semester-based academic calendar. The campus is spread across an area of more than 100 acres. It enrolls over 22,000 students.
The Mesa Press is the college newspaper and is run by journalism students. It covers all Mesa related news. Mesa College’s athletic department is home to various sports teams such as baseball, racquetball, swimming, tennis, soccer, and football. The football team has competed in the second Pacific Coast Conference since 1982.
San Diego Mesa College accepts a limited number of nonimmigrant F-1 visa students. There are special clubs to assist the international students in the college.
