Overview
San Diego Miramar College, also referred to as Miramar, is a two-year community college located in San Diego, California, United States. The college is administered by the San Diego Community College District. It was founded in the year 1969. It was originally established as a training facility for San Diego's law enforcement personnel and firefighters. The campus is spread across an area of 125 acres. The campus also comprises of a 32-acre athletic complex and a science/technology center.
San Diego Miramar College offers a wide variety of degrees and programs in diverse areas of study. The campus is home to several student clubs and organizations. Some of them are Amnesty International, Miramar Associated Gaming Imagination Club (MAGIC), Phi Theta Kappa, Latin American Club, and Filipino American Association.
The student body at Miramar has an impressive number of International students. There are also special clubs to assist foreign students with admission into the college.
