Overview
The San Joaquin College of Law was founded in Fresno, California by a group of judges and attorneys from the San Joaquin Valley in 1969. Its first classes were held in 1970. The college relocated to its current location in Clovis, California in December of 1996. SJCL offers various degree programs in constitutional law, taxation, criminal law and procedure, legal analysis/research & writing and civil procedure.
SJCL provides scholarships like the Alumni Association Carolyn T. Mirviss Scholarship, the Clovis Soroptimist Woman's Advocate Award, the Theodore R. Forrest Memorial Scholarship, the Delta Theta Phi Scholarship and the Founders' Scholarship.
SJCL is home to student clubs and organizations like the Student Bar Association, the Law Students United in Tolerance and Delta Theta Phi.
