Overview
San Jose City College, also known as SJCC, is a coeducational, community college located in San Jose, Santa Clara County, California, United States. It was founded in 1921 with as the San Jose School. The school was renamed to San Jose City College in 1958.
San Jose City College is organized into the following divisions:

The sports teams at San Jose City College are called the Jaguars. The official mascot is the Jaguar. The College sponsors football, basketball, baseball, cross country, track, soccer, softball, and volleyball.
Notable faculty of SJCC include John Shrader, Professor of Journalism, has an extensive background in television and radio sports anchoring and sports reporting; and Reginald Lockett, Professor of English, is the author of The Party Crashers of Paradise (2001) and has composed many other short stories, novels, articles, and poems.
