Overview

Sandhills Community College, SCC, was established in 1965 and is a community college situated in Pinehurst, North Carolina. SCC records an enrollment of over 15,000 credit and non-credit students every year. It received its license in 1963, but officially started operation in October, 1965. The college campus of more than 150 acres has over 8 instructional buildings. The college grants associate degrees and various certificates and diploma programs in various areas of study. In addition to the various degrees and certificate programs, SCC also offers distance learning through online courses.

SSC’s student body is diverse and SSC possesses a prominent athletics department. The sports teams participate in various games such as baseball, basketball, softball, volleyball, and golf.
